Asha Bhosle becomes the first ever
Indian to participate in a prestigious international event like the World Music
Concert staged by Spain and Portugal. 17th
and 18th June 2008 saw the legendary singer perform in Madrid and Lisbon.
She sang a
couple of Spanish songs, specially learnt for the occasion, in the Catregena
Music Festival in Madrid,
on the 17th of June. Her performance lasted for almost two hours.
The next day,
i.e. on the 18th of June, the versatile singer performed in the
Sinus Music Festival in Lisbon.
Ms Bhosle was
performing for the first time in these two European countries.
