Sunfeast Tamil Music Awards

The
Sunfeast Tamil Music Awards, for the very first time this year, are going to
present special awards to deserving Tamil Music personalities. June 8, 2008 saw
the esteemed director Mani Ratnam unveil the new trophy and the cinematographer
Rajiv Menon caste the opening vote. The public will, caste their votes, in
favor of the singer and musician they think to be the most deserving, and the
ones receiving the maximum number of votes will be adjudged the winners.

This
award will have a Special Classical Music Category, which intend to give a Life
Time Achievement Award.

The
Film Categories will include Best Composer of the Year, Best Film Music of the
Year, Best Choreographer, Best Singer of the year - Male, Best Singer of the
Year - Female, Best Lyrics of the year, Best Performance in a song – Male, Best
Performance in a song – Female and Best Sound Recordist, to name a few.
